Today I am launching the second version of my personal website. I’ve migrated from WordPress to a static site, and spent a lot of time thinking about experience and design.
In this post I’m going to write about static site generators, the tools I used for this site, my workflow, and open sourcing my website.
Visual Stager Group Project

I just wrapped-up my Hack Reactor group project on Visual Stager.
We took an existing ~20,000 line codebase and dove right in, closing tickets along the way. Ultimately, we built a new feature that is now in beta.
Bridgely: Text Messaging for Corporations

ForUs is on a mission! They are an awesome company that makes interactive & intelligent guides about retirement benefits. Honestly, what do you know about your 401(k)? They help make this stuff simple and actionable. I think its great.
They encountered a bit of a roadblock distributing their content at companies they work with: HR departments often don’t have accurate or up-to-date employee email addresses or mobile phone numbers.
I teamed up with ForUs to develop an open-source tool, Bridgely, that helps bridge this gap and enables companies to deliver content to employees via text messaging.
